Sometimes when I execute the drop, the volume of the second tune is too loud.
What is the best way to set the volume of the second tune in advance (by headphones and compare, lcd) ?
Please advise.

This was informative for noob-wannabej guys like myself. I’ve fiddled with running mixes (trying to be Tiesto, Fat Boy Slim) but ultimately sounded like garbage. I think if I can master this I’ll eventually be up there. Awesome tutorial.
He’s just showing some tips in case you’re running out of time mixing. or a sudden request of songs from the crowd. I think he’s a great DJ!
it actually isn’t, a good DJ will perform a running mix. If you watch Tiesto, Norman Cooke ( FatBoy Slim) or any DJ’s of that sort you will see they don’t use the fader because they use the running mix method ( its hard to do )

This guy isn’t actually that good… a lot of DJ’s are like him by performing “chops”. A good DJ won’t need to use the crossfader to mix.

That’s the style I use the most but what I do instead is have the song I will mix build up instead of the song im mixing out because then it just sounds smoother.
