yes it is!you plug the master iof the dmj400 into the input of the efx and then you turn you output from your efx into your speaker!I had this doubt a few months ago too and I almost dont buy the djm400 because I didnt know if I could or could not turn this in the efx!It works!relax and…..buy it!
I’ve moved my night to a new venue and so am being hoisted up from using the DJM 600 to this contraption. Thank god for someone who is kind enough to do it from the very basics, because I’m terrified of the thing!

man what you need is to connect it via send/return, that from your mixer to the exf and then back to your mixer, because if you connect it directly from master out, it will do the effects for both sides
hello i have a the pioneer efx 500 machine and im trying to find a way to connect it so the effects don’t play on both the left and right turntables at the same time with my Serato. Everytime I turn the machine on… the effect plays on both songs and not just the one song or side. The mixer i have is a Vestax 05PPro. Can anyone help?

i got efx-1000 but dont have the jack plugs to connect it to the send/return. i look everywhere but dont know what cable to buy. can someone give me a link or something that can tell me what to buy? or maybe a link to an online store that sells that kind of cable.. thanks..
can the EFX-1000 be connected to your mixer via the MIDI connections on the back to the MIDI in/out on your mixer??

Agreed, plus you can apply effects to specific channels instead of the just whole mix
theres a send + return on the mixer isnt there.. y dont you use that.. =]
I don’t think think its right to connect it to the master output.. theres an EFX send on a djm800.. that gives u a chance to use with different channels …..
I love this EFX 1000, I have one. And the EFX 500. Both give a great sound efects.
