When you don’t understand sth it isn’t useless.
Ever thought about ending a set this way?
I can think of some other tricks using this method.
Be creative!
bit of a waste of time this – I thought you were a going to show us how to dramatically increase the motored pitch shift. Oh well – back to looking for a 16 rpm turntable.
Useless, most stuff I like with this guy, but this I have to say is just dum?
That is the most pointless thing you can do with a technics deck I have ever seen. Yes it does slow it down for longer…but you will probebly only do this when fucking around on your own…sorry mate once again..like you 7 record fats mixing..all very pointless and gimmicky
that’s not the only difference, also mk5 has a better tone arm with a 6 level anti skating and a better long life stylus led..
alright. thx =D
which do u recommend?
The mk 5 has a pitch reset button. When this button is pressed it doesn’t matter where the pitch fader is, the pitch will remain at 0. Therefore the pitch fader doesn’t ‘click’ into place at zero like the mk2. This allows smoother fader action and more accurate beat matching around the 0 mark. Theres also a 1210 mk5G which has the pitch reset button but also a Variable Range Pitch of ±8%, ±16%..
can anyone tell me what’s the difference between
SL-1200 MK2 and SL-1200 MK5? a
styleflip
Actually turning your Tv on and off can fuck it up !
But nah not with a Technics turntable, thats one the greatest pieces of engineering in the last 25 years.
clear as mud ? hmm mud is not clear but anyway great vid only watched for a look at the sl1200 mk2 as i just got one for 150 pound
on your cd j how did you get that calligraphie? it looks cool
Great video. I was actually doing this but turning off the turntable but keeping my finger spinning the record. Also slowing down some dnb tracks to the speed of breakbeats by slowing down a bit and hitting the 33rpm button
them stickers are head frying
wt r the best deck’s to start off with
Your welcome, Not a problem fella.
are those sticker on the cdj n mixers? where can i get thm?
thanxs m8
No all your doing is stopping the power to the turntable motor. Bit like pressing the on/off switch on your television, doesn’t harm your television by doing this. Its harmless and won’t damage your technics, no matter how much you turn the power switch on and off.
can u fuck up your Technics when u turn the power off
Hence why i purchased a Vestax PDX3000, with +/-50 pitch range, +/-10 ultra pitch and a midi input to connect a keyboard to, your not limited on what you can perform on the pitch range like you are on the 1200. If technics made a 1200 mk6 with +/-50 pitch range, no doubt in my mind they would clean up the turntablist turntable market, i may even purchase one.
Probably going to be attack for saying this, but here goes: Don’t get me wrong a love the 1200 to bits, fantastic turntable. There only one drawback from me purchasing another 1200 – The pitch range. Being a turntablist and using the turntable as a musical instrumental +/-8 on the 1200 and +/-16 on the 1200 mk5g isn’t enough for making handcrafted music. Its great for mixing etc
Because this is what people had to do when we didn’t have fancy CDJs and all this automatic stuff. Great video!
Sorry but I don’t really see the point of explaining this. I do rate lots of ellas other vids though.
the “wide” feature on the technics 1210 m5G does +/- 16%
