To preview the next track coming on, the dj can hear the next track so they can beat match, but the crowd cannot hear anything.
You may want to consider messing with the lows and highs or different effects. Beat match them, and if you have a flanger, you might want to work with the LFO. No guarentee that it’ll work completely; that would probably be one way to make the drums on one track be louder then the other, and the harmony/melody on the second track sound louder then the one on the first, so that you can hear mostly the first ones drums and mostly the second ones harmony/melody.
So they can hear the beat of the other track, and match the beat.

I aint an expert so I may be wrong, but if you’re using vinyl, you have to work with the tunes you got? I don’t think you can extract the bits you dont want and keep the bits you do…or can you? Only other suggestion is get a drummer, a singer and learn yourself guitar and then Bob’s your uncle. I meant that in a constructive way.
The best teacher for me ever!!!I strat to mix like this, and about 2 day i learn little, but it is more better then mixing on bpm, when i say mixing on BPM i mean put the same BPM on tracks and then move platter.Everything is in practise

i have just started djing and i have reached a problem. There are two tracks i’m playing but i only want the vocals and guitar from one and the drums from the other. I have got a dm950 for a? mixer and two belt drive turntables……how do i do this

you make ure songs on computer programmes such as logic, reason or fruity loops and on those u can use different means of software to create ure synths, drumbeats, vocal samples or watever. The programmes have a mixer on them so u can EQ ure tunes which basically means fine tunning each of the sounds so you don’t say for example hav ure bass line overpowering all the other sounds.

So no mixing vocals like that? I’m not asking if DJ’ing is the same as the controller, I’m asking if you can make songs on a mixer like in DJ Hero.
No dj hero is nothing like real mixing unfortunatley, you need a pair of technic 1210’s decks, and practice
Is this the same stuff as mixing like in DJ Hero? I want to combine two songs with vocals, instruments, and other things, not just make dance music. Where should I go first to learn?
brother u are the best teacher of turntables i have come across in my life, i never toutched turntables in ma life but after watching your video i thought i will have a go and buy myself a set as i have been a Pioneer cdj dj.I tried your pitch control without moving the platter, guess what it worked its brilliant.
